Gay Pride 2008
Hello to all my fabulous GLBT community! Many of you may know this but for those who don’t, Gay Pride 2008 is being celebrated all over the USA this month, June 2008. Although Pride is being celebrated in other countries during other months some major cities such as New York City, Dallas and Los Angeles all have major pride parades and rallies scheduled. With the recent rulings inCalifornia, giving Gays and Lesbians the right to marriage, we as a community truly have reason to celebrate this Pride! Gay pride parades are an ongoing tradition since the march on Stonewall in 1969. This is a time to wear your bright colors, rainbow flags and tiaras for those closet queens. Many States have their own pride websites. I suggest finding out when your city is celebrating and sign up for every rally and attend the parade. It’s unlike anything you’ll ever experience. The sense of unity and community is overwhelming. I will be attending the New York City Gay Pride March on Sunday, June 29th, located on 5th Avenue & 52nd Street to Christopher & Greenwich St. I hope to see an even bigger turnout then last year. I hope that if you’ve never attended a Pride parade, that you will this year and those to come. If anyone has any news on where to celebrate Pride in your City, please comment and let others know! Happy Pride 2008 Everyone!

I can not wait for NYC Pride this year. There is a huge lesbian party at Pier 54, 13th street @ Hudson river park on June 28th from 6-11pm.
